The story

ChopMate's sides are hinged. Chop flat, then squeeze the handle and the board folds into a channel that funnels everything into a pot, a pan or a bin without a second bowl. Release it and it lies flat again.
The surface is a wheat-straw composite that is genuinely gentle on knife edges — closer to a plastic board than to bamboo, which chews edges faster than most people realise. It is dishwasher safe, and it folds to about a third of its footprint for storage.

Squeeze the handle and the hinged sides rise into a channel. Everything you chopped goes where it is meant to go.
Wheat-straw composite gives under the edge instead of blunting it — a real difference from bamboo over a year of use.
